Your first appointment will take about one hour. Please bring your insurance card and be prepared to fill out initial paperwork.
During the visit, Dr. Michael Welch will gather a detailed history, complete a thorough examination, and, if needed, take x-rays. Whether you are coming in for a specific concern or seeking ongoing preventative treatment, this process ensures that Dr. Welch can provide you with a personalized treatment plan that supports the health of your entire body. After the initial examination, Dr. Welch will likely perform an initial adjustment and suggest next steps to continue with your treatment and ongoing care.
We believe the most effective chiropractic care happens through a 30-minute personalized visit. Dr. Welch will begin by gathering an update on your history and an examination of your spine and joint movements. He frequently uses electrical muscle stimulation to increase blood flow and relax tight muscles in your neck, back, and/or extremities, allowing him to perform a more effective adjustment that lasts longer.
Dr. Welch’s full body adjustment includes adjusting the spine, as well as mobilizing your shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. He also offers stretches and exercises that can help you maintain a pain-free range of motion. If interested, counseling on nutritional supplements designed to benefit different organs and systems is available.
The treatment approach is the same for nearly all types of issues. Through a thorough examination, Dr. Welch can determine underlying issues and begin to treat them. He provides treatment to address trauma from motor vehicle collisions, athletic injuries, pregnancy and birth, and other types of concerns.
Dr. Welch specializes in treating individuals who work at a desk, providing specific advice on ergonomics and stretching to support preventative care.
